Canada’s INKAS Defense and Aerospace integration has introduced two new products at defence trade show CANSEC 2026.

The new platforms include the INKAS Modular Light Tactical Vehicle (MLTV) and the INKAS ANURI Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV).

The INKAS MLTV, designed to replace existing light utility vehicle fleets, is the result of a collaborative programme with INEOS Automotive and WELP Group.

According to the company, the vehicle leverages a proven original equipment manufacturer platform and provides factory-backed engineering and support throughout its lifecycle.

The modular design of the MLTV allows it to be reconfigured for various mission types, including armoured transport, reconnaissance, medical evacuation, assault operations, and search and rescue.

In addition, the vehicle features a scalable bolt-on protection system, which enables increased levels of protection to be added without affecting the vehicle’s structure or manoeuvrability.

INKAS Defense and Aerospace CEO David Khazanski said: “Legacy fleets are plagued by limited protection against modern threats and also a high sustainment burden. This is why the INKAS MLTV marks a new advancement in the armored light tactical vehicle market.

WOur platform offers lifecycle support, while being engineered for modularity, mission adaptability, and modern operational mobility.”

The ANURI UAV is modular AI-guided counter-UAV interceptor designed to detect, track, and neutralise uncrewed aerial systems, with a reported time-to-target of under 80 seconds at 5km.

This modular counter-UAS system can be quickly deployed via quad-rotor extended vertical takeoff and landing, from a silo, vehicle, or by hand, without the need for site preparation.

The UAV features a modular twist-lock nose design, allowing for swift changes between different payloads, including warheads, sensors, or AI guidance.

INKAS stated that the system can be operated in First-Person View by a pilot or utilise AI-assisted terminal guidance, ANVIL C2, with the operator remaining involved in control decisions.

It is engineered to counter a range of drone threats travelling at speeds up to and exceeding 400km/h, and functions in GNSS-denied environments using inertial navigation and AI-driven visual terminal homing.

INKAS Defense and Aerospace chairwoman Margarita Simkin said: “We designed the ANURI UAV to be an attritable counter-UAS interceptor platform that meets today’s operational realities without relying solely on exquisite defensive systems.

“Modularity is at its core, enabling operators to rapidly deploy the system, even via hand launch, while supporting payload reconfiguration in seconds.”

The debut of these two systems follows last month’s announcement of the M1 MRAP, a mine-resistant armoured vehicle developed with KNDS Mobility under a Canadian–French defence partnership.
