In a statement issued on 1 June, ArmorSource said the new order enhances its position as a “trusted supplier” of advanced head protection systems to the US military.
ArmorSource government programs director Todd Barnes said: “We see this award as a sign of trust from the US Government, the US Army, PEO Soldier, and the Defense Logistics Agency.
“This order, together with our ongoing contract for the delivery of 30,000 Advanced Combat Vehicle Crewman (ACVC) helmets, places ArmorSource at the forefront of US Government suppliers of advanced lightweight head protection systems.”
ArmorSource’s ACH Gen II helmet system offers advanced ballistic protection while reducing weight and improving comfort for military personnel.
The company stated that the product’s design focuses on lightweight construction, better ergonomics, and performance across a range of operational settings.
This latest contract follows other agreements with US defence organisations, including the US Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and US Special Operations Command.
ArmorSource, headquartered in Hebron, Ohio, produces ballistic helmet systems for military and law enforcement users worldwide.
Recently, the company introduced the AireLink Prime retention system, which allows independent left- and right-side micro-adjustments to improve fit and stability.
Last month, ArmorSource also launched the AS-223, a ballistic helmet that the company says was engineered and manufactured entirely in the US.
According to the company, the AS-223 was developed for US law enforcement and is the first US-made helmet to surpass the ballistic requirements of international and domestic standards, including the US DEA/FBI Ballistic Protocols, German VPAM-3, and NIJ Level IIIA.
