India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the transfer of technologies (ToT) for all conventional missile systems developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to Indian defence firms for domestic production. In a statement on 25 August, the Ministry of Defence said the decision will allow Indian businesses, including micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), to manufacture missile systems domestically, provided they meet relevant regulatory qualifications and certifications. WASHINGTON — The US Air Force has awarded aerospace giant Boeing a broad contract for the company’s F-15 fighter jet worth up to $131.2 billion, according to a Defense Department announcement. The eye-popping sum for the “F-15 Eagle Crest” covers aircraft production, upgrades and sustainment, among other features, for the Pentagon and the jet’s international customers. Work is expected to wrap up by August 2037, Monday’s notice says. WASHINGTON — The US Air Force has awarded a pair of contracts with a combined value of $766 million to upgrade the radar on the aging B-52 Stratofortress bomber, according to a Defense Department notice.  One award, an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a ceiling of $603 million, was issued to defense giant RTX’s subsidiary Raytheon for production and sustainment of new radars, according to Tuesday’s announcement.
